AMERICAN TOMAHAWK

is a small edged-weapons and hard-use tools manufacturing company based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Their product is very good and accordingly priced. A multi-hundred dollar tomahawk or knife isn’t something folks just buy casually.

The brand was chugging when former U.S. Marine, John Hickman, a buddy of mine, bought the company. He asked us to “do some of that marketing shit you do”.

First, we built a new brand identity because the old one made our eyes cry. Then we did some “Manvertising”.

After the first two campaigns (about eight months in market) we had to pull the ads because business orders went up so fast that American Tomahawk got back-ordered, first by a few months, then six months, then “delivery date unknown”, due to the flood of orders.

To this day, over two years after the campaign, the company is still trying to catch back up with orders/demand. Good times.
